Roger Williams Park Zoo


The Roger Williams Park Zoo of Providence, Rhode Island houses over 100 species of rare and fascinating animals in naturalistic settings.  One of the nation’s oldest zoos (opened in 1872), Roger Williams Park Zoo is an integral part of southern New England’s history and heritage, bringing excitement and discovery of the natural world to generations of visitors.  Today the Zoo is one of Rhode Island’s top tourist attractions, welcoming over half a million people annually from all over New England and beyond.

Active Duty/Retired Discount:

All active and retired military veterans who show a valid military ID plus another form of identification (e.g., drivers’ license, valid credit card, utility bill, or the like) will receive a 50% discount on regular daytime Zoo admission. The half price admission discount can be applied for up to 4 people in a party of immediate family members (including spouse and children). The spouse of a deployed military person will also receive the discount by showing appropriate identification.
